Mission

Fédérer l'effort de recherche en information quantique au Québec afin d'aider nos chercheurs à se hisser et se maintenir à l'avant-garde au niveau international et de préparer les étudiants, professeurs des collèges et universités, ingénieurs, industriels ainsi que la société québécoise à la prochaine révolution quantique.

Objectifs

A court terme, l'INTRIQ se donne les objectifs suivants :

Accentuer la synergie de collaboration transdisciplinaire entre les membres par le financement de projets collaboratifs;
Favoriser les échanges avec les chercheurs d'autres institutions, au Canada et dans le monde entier, par l'organisation d'événements et de visites;
Renforcer la formation des étudiants et de personnel hautement qualifié par leur intégration dans un environnement interdisciplinaire;
Favoriser les découvertes par le partage et la bonne gestion d'infrastructures majeures;
Initier de nouveaux développements technologiques et favoriser l'interaction avec l'industrie ainsi que soutenir le transfert technologique et la demande de brevets.

A moyen et long terme, les objectifs de l'INTRIQ seront de former les techniciens et ingénieurs des industries aux nouvelles technologies issues de l'information quantique et de sensibiliser le grand publique et les étudiants des écoles du Québec aux avancées scientifiques qui ont donné naissance à ces technologies. Ceci se fera par l'organisation d'activités d'échanges, de conférences, d'ateliers, de colloques ou de séminaires.

Mission

Federate the research effort in quantum information in Quebec in order to help our researchers to rise and remain at the forefront at the international level and to prepare students, professors of colleges and universities, engineers, industrialists as well as Quebec society to the next quantum revolution.

Objectifs

Short term INTRIQ objectifs are:

Accentuate the synergy of transdisciplinary collaboration between members by funding collaborative projects;
Promote exchanges with researchers from other institutions, in Canada and around the world, by organizing events and visits;
Strengthen the training of students and highly qualified personnel through their integration into an interdisciplinary environment;
Promote discoveries through the sharing and good management of major infrastructures;
Initiate new technological developments and promote interaction with industry as well as support technology transfer and patent applications.

In the medium and long term, INTRIQ's objectives will be to train technicians and engineers in industries in new technologies derived from quantum information and to raise awareness among the general public and students of schools in Quebec about the scientific advances that have given rise to to these technologies. This will be done through the organization of exchange activities, conferences, workshops, colloquiums or seminars.
